Sakura Gelly Roll Clear Glaze Pen for Gloss and Watercolor Resist

Kimberly Crick

This ball point pen dispenses a fast drying clear glaze. This is a great alternative to permanent masking fluid or resist inks, and looks similar to clear embossing powder once dry. When you use watercolor or ink pads over top, the glaze pen lines will repel the color to create effects like those seen in the photo.

When you press the medium ball tip to paper the liquid starts flowing. You can create pools of color by lingering, or thinner lines by drawing quickly. It can also be used for adding glossy shine over spots of a drawing or stamp art, for instance to create rain drops or a shiny tea-cup.
